Overview
Gangwon is one of the most mountainous coastal provinces located in the northernmost portion of South Korea that’s a hop and a skip from Seoul. Because of its geography, it is home to some of the most stunning and thrilling outdoor experiences and many of them gave it the name of”the Adventure Province of Korea.
Gangwon-Do is comprised of approximately 1.5 million people, of which there are around 10, 000 foreigners currently living in its towns and cities. Gangwon-Do is the home of The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), Seoraksan National Park, Chiaksan National Park and Odaesan National Park. It is home to the Red Crown Crane is their official bird, and their official animal is the Asiatic Black Bear is their official animal.
